"Life is not fair"

... this is something that I've heard over and over again and this is the same thing I tell students when they complain. What can you do about it? The answer is suck it up and keep moving because life will always be unfair. I think, at the end of the day, it's a perspective issue. If something is unfair, it means you or I are entitled to something. Now, ask... what are you entitled to? Can you do anything to merit something? Life is not school - I can't study hard and get an A. Life happens whether I behave or not. The question is: how do I find joy in life despite the unfairness?

As of October 2nd, my favorite CHIK (his last name is Chik ) will be married... time goes by so quickly. Everybody is growing up!! I still remember when we were doing stupid things like trying on glasses or watching that really dumb movie (what was it called, again? "Not Another Teen Movie"?)... great days!

you know the world is corrupt when...

- there's a gang rape of a 16 year old girl in a rural town just outside of Vancouver by 5 to 7 guys and there's a guy PHOTOGRAPHING/VIDEOTAPING.

- there's a sexual act between a 12 year old girl and a 16 year old boy in SCHOOL YARD with a circle of their friends RECORDING it on their phones and no one calling the police despite the 12 year old girl emitting HORRIFIC SCREAMS.

- people go in SEARCH of a crocodile to KILL.

- a woman throws acid on her own face and BLAMES it on someone else.

- a pastor threatens to burn the Quran.

- a 47 year old man gets burned alive in a mugging

etc.

the list goes on... man, this world needs Jesus.

I hate school. I need to leave Montreal. I need to crawl in a hole and die.

new beginnings...

So love corps 2010 has been over for about a week now and I've been home for 3 days...

My heart really misses Opisaht  I had tons of fun. God is amazing...

Another summer over - another school year is about to start. Nothing much has changed. I don't all of a sudden know what I am going to do after I finish my undergrad and I don't have all the answers to the things going on in my life. I just know that no matter where I end up, God is going to take care of me because He promised me that He would. I just know that the things I used to fear aren't worth fearing...

I still have a lot to process because so much happened, but I hope to send out an email soon.
